Wolfgang Tillmans originally created the two works Ostgut Freischwimmer rechts and Ostgut Freischwimmer links in 2004 for the Club Berghain, Panorama Bar, in Berlin, where they were hanging over the dance floor for five years. Several years ago, the Kunstmuseum Basel acquired the work Ostgut Freischwimmer rechts, and two years ago, the Beyeler Foundation bought Ostgut Freischwimmer links. For the first time in years, the two works can now be seen together again.
